Texas Community Association Advocates (TCAA) is an organization with stakeholders who are involved in community association living. These stakeholders include community associations, board members, managers, attorneys, developers, builders, title companies, management companies, real estate professionals, Realtors, homeowners and others who provide service to those living in deed restricted communities.
TCAA replaces the CAI Texas Legislative Action Committee and the Texas Association of Community Management Companies will be merging with TCAA. TCAA serves as the voice of CAI (Community Association Institute) and others invovled in community association living on legislative and regulatory matters. TCCA provides education throughout the state, coordinating efforts with the CAI chapters and other organizations who serve the community association industry and profession.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
A Board of Directors comprised of professionals in the community association industry and other interested parties heads TCAA. The Board focuses on legislative agenda, policy making, and legislator and stakeholder relations.
TCAA also has an Advisory Committee made up of individuals or organizations who have a strong interest or involvement with community association living. They assist with legislative outreach and fundraising, as do the following committees: Associations, Business Partners, Education (Chapters and Others), Fundraising, Legislator Education, Managers, and Marketing/Public Relations.
In addition to the volunteer leadership, TCAA engages a lobby team and a public relations lobby team.
TCAA is funded primarily by voluntary contributions from those who live in community associations and work with community associations.
