Community Association Institute: Greater Houston Chapter
Educational Opportunities

The Greater Houston Chapter offers many educational events throughout the year.  The day-long  Essentials for Community Association Volunteer Leadership is a must for board members and new managers who want information on the most pertinent issues pertaining to community associations operations. This is a highly interactive course designed to get you involved! This course covers all the basics you need to know to lead your community effectively. Learn about your fiduciary responsibility, how to run an effective meeting, the role of a director, what the governing documents are (and how to use them), and how to read a financial statement.

Breakfast Seminars provide up-to-date information all our members need to stay in-the-know about community association living and management. The Chapter offers a wide variety of topics from a Legal and Legislative Update to Time Management. The seminars also provide an ideal opportunity to meet others facing challenges just like yours. The Chapter offers a breakfast seminar most months, usually on the third Wednesday.
